I think I signed up for too many emails... and 'Help! I've fallen and can't get up!'

So I'm pretty sure I have gotten over 150 emails today. Whoops. Guess I signed up for a few too many newsletters/emails! But I can't stand to just delete them! So what's a girl to do? It's a good thing we moms are born with the innate ability to multi-task... which I shall be doing shortly while going through emails, watching a Leverage show with my husband and making a freezer meal for my friend that just had a baby.

Wheew!

And 'Help! I've fallen and can't get up!'

I know you are surprised, but I'm not so technologically savvy. 'What, you?' I know it. It's like the tech world exploded in the last 10 years(longer I suppose) and I've fallen off the wagon for 3+. Which in techy terms is like saying, 'a lifetime.' It's rather intimidating, these silly things like text boxes under buttons so people can copy and paste My button. Or partial views of posts on the main page that link to the full post in their proper category. The other day I watched this tween walking, talking and texting at the same time while at the mall... without looking at her phone! Really? It takes me 5 minutes to key out, 'See you later' while Looking at my phone. My hot pink Motorola Razor phone with the cracked front. And yes, I recognize I might be able to shave 2.5 minutes off my key time if I simply sent, 'C U L8R.' But I just can't. I just can't! Where will it end? I follow my sweet and much younger cousins on Facebook. Half the time I sit there and have to carefully think about what they have posted. Take 'BFFL.' Now, I know BFF thanks to Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie. After some pondering I can only assume 'BFFL' has replaced BFF to mean 'Best Friend For Life.' Am I right? Can you guess what 'MCFS' stands for? It's late, I'll help you out. 'More Chocolate For Stacy.' That's right.

The children can't spell! They're going to have to rewrite the classics in text speak. My girlie is only 3 1/2 years old. What is it going to look like in another 10 years? We're all going to have to take foreign language classes to talk to our kids and grandkids. Maybe it'll just be eye blinks. Or maybe light blinks from our fancy space suits. Our mouths will just evolve shut.

Which, doesn't sound that bad after my day today...

I totally agree about spelling! My mom thinks shes so cool because she uses "text" language all the time! I think it's a mid life crises! Hahah!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm following you back!

Thanks for the comment! I know how you feel about the language, my 14 year old sister is the same way! It's so hard to get sometimes!

Whew! I have over 4000 unread emails. It seems once they scroll off the first page I never get around to them again. Oops. I sign up for everything. :)

I don't even want to check my unread emails...so many! What is worse, though, is when I open one and forget and then never go back. I need a better system!
