Holiday Open House: Collette's Wasil

My mother has a beautiful name, doesn't she? Yes, she'd be Collette of Collette's Wasil. My mother's Wasil is famous among family and friends for the holidays. There's nothing quite like walking into her home with a pot on the stove; the smell warms you right through your chilled winter bones.

From our home to yours!

Ingredients:
1 gallon apple cider
1 12oz. frozen orange concentrate
1 12oz. frozen lemonade concentrate
6 oz. frozen pineapple concentrate
1 quart water
1/3 cup brown sugar
and spices until it tastes good to you!
cinnamon, cloves, all spice, nutmeg and a little ginger

Combine everything in a large pot, bring just to a boil and then turn down the heat to just below a boil. Heat for 30 minutes and then enjoy carefully- it's hot!

Lemonade and pineapple? Never even thought of that! I usually have my Orange Cranberry Mulled Cider, but now I'll have to try Collette's version! Thanks for sharing and thanks for entering our giveaway at A Nation of Moms!
